Interview with Yanis Varoufakis on his book Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism. Argues that the technofeudalism of big tech platforms and rents has replaced capitalism’s twin pillars of markets and profit. With every click and scroll we labour like serfs to increase its power.

While Varoufakis’s politics are not to my taste, I was intrigued by his argument that US dependence on the cheap finance it gets by being the reserve currency prevents its uptake of much cheaper financial transactions.
